This pendant is available in rhodium-plated sterling silver, 10k yellow gold, 10k pink gold, or 10k white gold. With these materials, the risks of reactions or allergies are extremely rare.

It will not change or tarnish.

Although the look is practically identical in rhodium silver or 10k white gold, the white gold pendant will survive the years better for a piece worn every day, since this alloy is much more resistant and durable than silver.

Tahitian pearls come from the oysterpinctada margaritifera, cultivated in French Polynesia. Reputed by many to be the most beautiful pearls in the world, they have an unequaled hue and luster.

Although the culture is carried out by the insertion of a nucleon in the oyster, it is the latter which produces a mother-of-pearl with fascinating hues. Unlike freshwater pearls, the Tahitian black pearl has a natural color obtained through a long process, while selected oysters will produce a single pearl after several months.

More recently introduced to the market, freshwater core pearls were created in order to provide larger, rounder and more affordable pearls. They offer excellent value for money.

First developed in Japan by a hybrid technique, the idea was taken up by the Chinese; the vast majority of freshwater pearls produced globally now come from China.

White in color and very lustrous, the pearls are AAA grade and round in shape. Of superior quality, freshwater pearls of this grade represent approximately 1% of the annual pearl culture.

JANE Addams (1860 – 1935), American sociologist and philosopher, distinguished herself by her commitment to social diversity, public health, peace and democracy, as well as the vote for women. In 1915, she chaired the International Women's Congress in The Hague, which gave birth to the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. In 1931, she received the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of her social and pacifist actions.
